About Faculty of Performing Arts

The Faculty of Performing Arts was officially established in 2003 at the same time as the establishment of the Indonesian Art Institute (ISI) Denpasar which was a merger between the Indonesian College of Arts (STSI) Denpasar and the Faculty of Fine Arts and Design (FSRRD) Udayana University. Currently, the Faculty of Performing Arts manages 5 (five) study programs/departments, namely: Dance Study Program, Musical Arts Study Program, Puppetry Arts Study Program, Performing Arts Education Study Program and Music Study Program. Based on the Decree of the National Accreditation Board for Higher Education (BAN-PT) four study programs received accreditation grades of A, namely the Dance Study Program, the Karaewitan Arts Study Program, the Study Program for the Art of Puppetry and the Study Program for Performing Arts Education. One study program received a GOOD accreditation score, namely the Music Study Program.

The Faculty of Performing Arts has 93 lecturers or teaching staff, 3 professors, 26 people with doctoral degrees and the rest with master’s degrees and 12 educational staff. Acceptance of new students ranges from 150-200 people per year with an average length of study of 4 years. The selection of new student admissions is carried out through three channels, namely SNMPTN, SBMPTN and independent pathways.

The ISI Denpasar Faculty of Performing Arts has student organizations spread across the scope of the organization, starting from study programs, faculties, to institutes. This includes the Student Activity Unit (UKM).
