80 Lecturers and Educational Staff of ISI Denpasar Participate in Cultural Field Certification

Indonesian Institute of the Arts (ISI) Denpasar synergized with the Cultural Profession Certification Institute (Lembaga Sertifikasi Profesi or LSP) P-2, Directorate General of Culture, Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology held a Cultural Field Certification for lecturers and educational staff of ISI Denpasar, on March 19-20, 2024, at the Citta Kelangen Building, ISI Denpasar.

The Head of the Academic Affairs Bureau, Student Affairs, Planning, and Cooperation of ISI Denpasar and also the Coordinator of the Cultural Field Certification Implementation, Dr. I Komang Arba Wirawan, in his report stated that a total of 80 lecturers and educational staff of ISI Denpasar participated in this professional certification. Participants were divided into 7 competency schemes, namely Art Curator, Sculptor and Ceramist, Composer, Musician, Dancer, Show Judge, and Art Archivist.

Dr. Arba added that ISI Denpasar presented 12 Professional assessors consisting of Professors, Doctors, and Experts in their fields. “Each participant or assessor will be assessed by one assessor according to their competency field,” he said.

The Rector of ISI Denpasar, Prof. Dr. I Wayan ‘Kun’ Adnyana in his speech mentioned that this cultural field certification aims to enhance the professional capacity of lecturers and educational staff of ISI Denpasar. Furthermore, in accordance with Key Performance Indicators (Indikator Kinerja Utama or IKU) 4, professional strengthening requires objective criteria in the form of professional certification. Prof. Kun Adnyana hopes that the ongoing collaboration with LSP P2 Cultural can continue considering that ISI Denpasar has 195 lecturers who need certification. “Hopefully, this good synergy will continue in the future with LSP P2 Cultural to improve the human resources of ISI Denpasar,” he said.

The Chairperson of LSP P-2 Cultural, Dra. Sri Hartini, M.Sc. appreciates ISI Denpasar’s efforts in enhancing the professional capacity of lecturers and educational staff through this professional certification. According to her, certification is the right step to test intermediate competencies so that they can obtain promotions or better career opportunities. “The competency test of LSP P2 Cultural will cover the ability to analyze situations, make decisions, and manage teams or projects. This competency test helps individuals demonstrate that they have higher skills and experience in certain fields,” said the former Secretary of the Directorate General of Culture, Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology. Institut Seni Indonesia (ISI) Denpasar bersinergi dengan Lembaga Sertifikasi Profesi (LSP) P-2 Kebudayaan, Direktorat Jenderal Kebudayaan, Kementerian Pendidikan, Kebudayaan, Riset, dan Teknologi menyelenggarakan Sertifikasi Bidang Kebudayaan untuk dosen dan tenaga kependidikan di lingkungan ISI Denpasar, 19 – 20 Maret 2024 di Gedung Citta Kelangen, ISI Denpasar.

Kepala Biro Akademik, Kemahasiswaan, Perencanaan, dan Kerja Sama ISI Denpasar sekaligus Koordinator Pelaksana Sertifikasi Bidang Kebudayaan, Dr. I Komang Arba Wirawan dalam laporannya mengatakan total 80 dosen dan tenaga kependidikan ISI Denpasar menjadi peserta sertifikasi profesi ini. Peserta dibagi ke dalam 7 skema kompetensi, yaitu Kurator Seni Rupa, Pematung dan Pekeramik, Komponis, Musisi, Penari, Juri Pertunjukan, dan Arsiparis Seni.

Dr. Arba menambahkan, ISI Denpasar menghadirkan 12 asesor Profesional yang terdiri dari Profesor, Doktor dan Tenaga Ahli pada bidangnya. “Setiap peserta atau asesi akan diasesmen oleh satu asesor sesuai dengan bidang kompetensinya,” ujarnya.

Rektor ISI Denpasar, Prof. Dr. I Wayan ‘Kun’ Adnyana dalam sambutannya menuturkan sertifikasi bidang kebudayaan ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kapasitas profesional dosen dan tenaga kependidikan di lingkungan ISI Denpasar. Selain itu, sesuai dengan Indikator Kinerja Utama (IKU) 4, penguatan profesi membutuhkan syarat objektif berupa sertifikasi profesi.

Prof Kun Adnyana berharap kerja sama yang terjalan dengan LSP P2 Kebudayaan dapat terus berlangsung mengingat ISI Denpasar memiliki 195 dosen yang membutuhkan sertifikasi. “Semoga sinergi yang baik ini tetap berlangsung kedepannya dengan LSP P2 Kebudayaan untuk meningkatkan SDM ISI Denpasar,” ujarnya.

Ketua LSP P-2 Kebudayaan, Dra. Sri Hartini, M.Si mengapresiasi upaya ISI Denpasar dalam meningkatkan kapasitas profesional dosen dan tenaga kependidikan melalui sertifikasi profesi ini. Menurutnya sertifikasi merupakan langkah yang tepat untuk menguji kompetensi menengah atau intermediate sehingga mereka dapat memperoleh promosi atau peluang karir yang lebih baik. “Uji kompetensi LSP P2 Kebudayaan akan mencakup kemampuan untuk menganalisis situasi, membuat keputusan, dan mengelola tim atau proyek. Uji kompetensi ini membantu individu untuk menunjukkan bahwa mereka memiliki kemampuan dan pengalaman yang lebih tinggi dalam bidang tertentu,” ujar mantar Sekretaris Direktorat Jenderal Kebudayaan, Kemdikbudristek ini. Indonesia Institute of the Arts (ISI) Denpasar held Bali Citta Samasta (Alumni Art Festival). The festival entitled Manawa-Prabawa-Manu (Pulpit of the Noble Generation) was opened by the Rector of ISI Denpasar, Prof. Dr. I Wayan ‘Kun’ Adnyana at Natya Mandala ISI Denpasar, Tuesday, March 19, 2024, evening.

Bali Citta Samasta will be held for 15 days, from March 19 to April 2, 2024. This inaugural alumni art festival presents several programs, namely Lango Wara (Alumni Art Performance), Citta Karaman Adinugraha (Highly Dedicated and Contributing Alumni Awards), Rupa Wara (Visual Art Exhibition), Kanti Wara (Alumni Gathering), Waskita Wara (Art-Design Discussions), Charma Wara (Mural Art Workshop), and Sewaka Wara (Alumni Initiative Space).

Head of the Research Institute, Community Service, and Education Quality Assurance, Dr. Drs. I Wayan Suardana, M.Sn, in his report stated that participants of the Alumni Art Festival are graduates of the years 2019 and 2024. Bali Citta Samasta is held in an effort to strengthen bonds of friendship and serve as a creative space for exchange of ideas and thoughts among alumni. Dr. Suardana added that Bali Citta Samasta provides a good opportunity for ISI Denpasar to conduct tracer studies and satisfaction surveys of ISI Denpasar’s services. This is in support of meeting Key Performance Indicators (KPI) 1.

“Bali Citta Samasta is an important momentum for us to strengthen alumni networks and encourage collaboration among generations. Through this festival, we hope to build closer relationships among alumni, create space for the exchange of ideas and experiences, and give recognition to those who have shown high dedication and contribution to the world of art,” he said.

In the opening of Bali Citta Samasta, the Rector of ISI Denpasar, Prof. Dr. I Wayan ‘Kun’ Adnyana, presented the Citta Karaman Adinugraha Awards to five alumni who have shown high dedication and contribution. They are Composer and Founder of Gamelan Pesel I Wayan Arik Wirawan, S.Sn., M.Sn., Choreographer and Founder of Sanggar Kerta_Art Ni Komang Ayu Ananta Putri, S.Sn, M.Sn., Designer and Sculptor I Komang Gde ‘Kedux’ Sentana Putra, S.Sn., Film Director Herda Martin Dwi Angga, S.Tr.Sn., and Contemporary Artist I Made Muliana ‘Bayak’, S.Sn.

The Rector of ISI Denpasar, Prof. Dr. I Wayan ‘Kun’ Adnyana, in his speech, expressed his utmost appreciation to all ISI Denpasar alumni. The event of Bali Citta Samasta was initiated with the understanding that the good name of ISI Denpasar in the hearts of society is entirely due to the actions of its alumni.

“Alumni are arrows of civilization, they penetrate and carve their culture, along with their knowledge and good intentions to build their environment wherever they are,” said this Professor of Art History.

The Rector of ISI Denpasar revealed that Bali Citta Samasta is a space of pride for the achievements that alumni have attained. This former Head of the Bali Provincial Cultural Office admitted to often being moved and delighted to hear many ISI Denpasar alumni names shining everywhere, delivering the best and becoming inspirations for young people. “Bali Citta Samasta carries the meaning that from Bali, we raise the spirit and aspirations for a beautiful universe through the creative works and innovative dedication that you all do. This still relatively small space is dedicated to each individual alumni to always join hands in advancing Indonesian art, design, and culture,” he said. (ISIDps/Humas-RT)
